COACHING

Scott is available (schedule permitting) for private coaching sessions and Audition Preparation.  Scott has helped numerous clients master new songs and monologues, greatly improving their averages in booking “the gig.”  With one of the largest collections of Broadway and Film sheet music, Scott can be extremely helpful in updating or evaluating your current audition materials.  Accompanist available as well.  Please email for rates and availability.

 

MASTER CLASSES

Scott has enjoyed traveling nationwide giving Musical Theatre classes at a master level and serving as a guest director and choreographer for productions at many universities.  He enjoys working with young people and always enjoys traveling and teaching when he can.  Please email for schedule and availability.

 

SCOTT THOMPSON

has over 20 years teaching experience ranging from all forms of Theatre Dance and Tap, to Audition Technique and Musical Theatre Scene Study Classes.  He has worked successfully with children and adults nationwide in a variety of settings – Universities, conservatories, dance academies, private lessons and many summer camps.  Scott has guest lectured at NYU, Columbia University, California State College at Fullerton, Birmingham University, University of Arizona and the College of the Desert in Palm Springs, California.  He was an adjunct faculty member at both the University of Texas and St. Edwards University in Austin.  He has taught extensively in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), STEPS ON BROADWAY, BROADWAY DANCE CENTER and for CAMP BROADWAY.  In Los Angeles he taught for the Moro-Landis dance Academy in Hollywood.  He was an artist in residence at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and also taught dance and Musical Theatre for the PLAZA THREE Academy and the France Dance Academy in Tucson, Arizona.  In conjunction with founding Austin Musical Theatre – he created a professional performing arts academy providing training in acting, singing and dancing for hundreds of children and adults in the Austin area.  His coaching services have produced astounding results for his students ranging from full scholarships at NYU University, Yale School of Drama, Webster, Carnegie Mellon, Cincinnati School of Music and Oklahoma State University to booking roles on Broadway and at prestigious Equity Theatres nationwide.
